The difference between iron core linear motor and ironless linear motor

 Advantages of linear motor: high acceleration, short acceleration and deceleration process, high transmission strength, stable thrust; unlimited stroke length, no performance loss; zero contact, no wear, low noise, brushless design; suitable for vacuum and harsh Environment; high precision, precision is very good, stepper linear motor, it can achieve step size of 1μn precision, therefore, linear motor is applied to many sophisticated instruments.

There is no iron core linear motor and iron core linear motor. What is the difference between them?

The iron-free core is a copper coil that has only a plastic film sealed, and a permanent magnet for the rotor. The core has a core and one of the rotors or one of them has a core.

Ironless linear motor

Advantages of ironless linear motors:

1. Unattractive, iron-free linear motors do not need to be handled when installed, so they are safe and easy to install.

2. Without cogging, it is easy to achieve a more stable motion and achieve higher precision.

3. Stitching the stator, the stroke can be extended infinitely.

4. No core means higher acceleration and deceleration.

      The disadvantages of ironless linear motors:

2. The power of the ironless motor is small.

3. The unit cost is high, use twice the amount of magnet.

Iron core linear motor

Advantages of iron core linear motor:

1. Lower cost.

2. The heat dissipation is better than the ironless core.

3. High thrust and high rigidity.

Disadvantages compared to ironless linear motors:

1. There is a cogging effect that limits the smoothness of the movement.

2. The normal attraction is 5 to 13 times the thrust generated.
